Wine history

8000 years of history

Moubari by Gavazi Estate

Gavazi Estate, founded in 2023 by two professional winemaker brothers from the village of Gavazi, Georgia, is dedicated to reviving ancient Georgian winemaking traditions, particularly the use of Qvevri—traditional clay vessels buried underground. At Gavazi Estate, we produce wines from the finest local varieties like Kisi, Khikhvi, Rkatsiteli, and Saperavi. Our commitment to authenticity and craftsmanship has earned us recognition worldwide, as we blend heritage with modern quality winemaking.

Located in the fertile Alazani River Valley in Kakheti, the heart of Georgian winemaking, Gavazi Estate thrives in a climate perfectly suited for viticulture. The combination of alluvial soils, balanced sunlight, and rainfall creates ideal conditions for grape growing. The nearby Caucasus Mountains offer natural protection, while the region’s valleys

and slopes nurture the development of distinct, characterful wines. Here, traditional Georgian winemaking flourishes alongside modern innovations that highlight the best

qualities of our grapes.

Crafting Memories, One Bottle at a Time

Moubari: A wine that speaks to the soul, telling stories with every sip.

Our Philosophy

At Gavazi Estate, wine is more than just a product—it’s a story, an experience, and a connection to the land.

Our philosophy is rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and respect for

tradition. We believe that each bottle of wine tells a unique story of its origin. Our label,

featuring a wine traveler venturing into the unknown, symbolizes the journey of discovery

we invite our drinkers to embark on. Every bottle of Gavazi wine is not just a drink, but an

invitation to explore the deep connection between nature, culture, and self.

Family and Team

Gavazi Estate is a family-owned winery, with the heart of our tradition rooted in the expertise of the Varadashvili family.

Mr. Valeri Varadashvili, a vineyard specialist with over 25 years of experience, meticulously tends to

our 17 hectares of vines, ensuring the highest quality grapes.

His sons, Giorgi and Luka, lead the winemaking process, blending traditional methods with modern innovations to

craft wines that embody the essence of Gavazi and Georgian heritage.

Together, they form a team that honors tradition while embracing the future.
